Vancouver Adapted Music Society supports and promotes musicians with disabilities in the Metro Vancouver area.
Formed in 1988 by Sam Sullivan and Dave Symington, two musicians with high-level disabilities, Vancouver Adapted Music Society supports and promotes musicians with disabilities in the Metro Vancouver area at all stages of their musical journey. At Canada’s first accessible recording studio, the VAMS staff offers professional recordings, mixes and masters, and helps artists find live performance opportunities. We also offer instrument lessons and instrument adaptations in partnership with Tetra Society of North America.
VAMS is not a Music Therapy program. Our staff are trained audio professionals and musicians. If you are unsure if this program is the right for you, please contact us at info@vams.org.
