About
CRITTR is the electronic project of Turner Churchill. Previously playing keys and drums for psych-rock and post-punk bands around Vancouver, a stroke left him physically incapable of continuing. Undeterred, Churchill turned to his wall of synths and started making new musicwith frequent collaborator Bryden Veinot, resulting in two EP releases in 2023: Glyph and Nite Shift.
Influenced by hip-hop, IDM, and alt-rock, CRITTR refuses to be pigeonholed to one subgenre: Churchill consistently efforts to broaden the scope of the project and push his sound into new territory; still, the records to date are unmistakably linked by an individual style.
